This was the first time I have visited Michael R McCarty's and it definitely will not be the last!! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Compliments to the Chef, the meatloaf and mashed potatoes were out of this world. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable!!! What a wonderful experience!!

It's like dining in a nursing home. Service was awful.

It is summer and they are closed. I hope they take the time to clean both the restaurant and the menu. The place is a good location and can be nice. It is as old as its clientele and needs to breath life into its offerings and maybe some younger people will start coming in?

Worst service I have ever had. Could be awesome if they gave a damn but they just don't . What a shame..

Our group of six arrived at our 7:30 reservation time on a Saturday night. The restaurant was near empty, which I found concerning. However, our waiter Danny was attentive and took good care of us. The wine list was okay and prices were average to a bit more. My gin and tonic came in a little glass...maybe eight oz. Considering it cost $12 I was not happy. The menu appears to offer a limited though interesting diversity of items. I was disappointed that the two fish offerings were Salmon and Tuna...nothing fresh from the ocean at their doorstep. We all had an appetizer, entree, and desert. Everyone was quite pleased and the pleasant ambiance of the room was clearly a plus. The bill came to $134 per couple, pre-tip. If there was one thing I think they should work on, it's the bathrooms. They are out the rear end of the restaurant down a long shabby corridor into the lobby of the Royal Poinciana Center. The men's room (I don't know about the ladies room) is in need of some paint and rehab.

A Palm Beach favorite of ours. Michael is the most congenial host possible, the food is mostly good- very good, with nice sized portions. Recommend the linguini with clams and the apple tart.

Michael McCarty's food is pretty good for a nicer burger joint. It is casual and has dependable food. I wouldn't go for the food though, it has a great bar and is one of the best places to go for nightlife as a 20/30 something on the island. Only a few blocks walk from cucinas it is fun and everyone you know will be there. Definitely check it out

I love the decor and the menu is solid and very unpretentious. Great outdoor patio despite the parking lot view. Very attractive bar and a nice tropical feel with candlelight inside. Have enjoyed everything I have tried especIally the fried green tomatoes and the meatloaf Dress up or go casual. A perfect venue in my opinion.

A neat, pub type atmosphere and a wonderful watering hole for late night drinks. Great for lunch or at best a burger at dinner. The food beyond lunch fare is really disappointing from my perspective and not well thought out. Not a place to expect anything close to fine dining. Just get the burger! The service is very friendly but not efficient. No refills typically and be prepared to continue to ask for another drink they just don't notice or care. It is so kick back and casual. Again, a great burger or tuna salad at lunch but I would not recommend for dinner specials or menu. Sit at the bar or outside and have some drinks. Be prepared to track down the waitress or waiter for everything you need. But, you always get a warm smile, and friendly thanks for your business and it will be most sincere. A local type place more than one I would recommend to a visitor with expectations of good - great food, ambiance and service.

It's a restaurant but also a nightclub (after about 11:30pm), and has a great new private room for your personal par-taaay. I am older now so I enjoy the early, simple dinner (anything from mac and cheese, to a steak, to a burger, to fish, to meatloaf, chicken, even scrambled eggs and bacon!) vs. the late night scene, but I have done both, and they are both good. During peak season, i.e., when college kids are home from school over Christmas and Spring Break, the social scene here is pretty terrific and because McCarty's is so local, getting home is just not a problem - whether that means you drive yourself, walk, or call for a cab. Outdoor seating is also plus, so is the Graters ice cream on the dessert menu! If you don't know what this is, ASK! You won't be disappointed.

Had my first lunch ever there today as I usually just meet a friend of mine at the bar...which I love. I had the open faced meatloaf and it was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and courteous. My girl and I were in and out of there in 1/2 an hour and completely satisfied! Very reasonable prices as well. Will eat there more often for sure.

Have been here multiple times now, including for dinner, late-night, and twice for New Year's Eve. The food is consistently very good. The atmosphere depends on what time of day you're there, but it's always great for people-watching. The bartenders are always friendly and pour you a nice drink. A great spot in Palm Beach no matter the occasion.

Ivanka Trump's Favorite Bar. The Bartenders are the best highlight. Lunch is cheap for Palm Beach. Try The Chopped Cobb Salad.

Disappointing. Everything. Food. Service. Drinks. Bathroom. And, we paid $80 for the privilege of eating there.

Terrible service and the manager admits to it. Says its going change soon, thanks I get the sucky waiter

Terrible service.....from start to finish.....food was just OK, not bad, but not good either. But the waiter was rude and untrained.....our conversation is more important than him, or I thought so before we ate here. He was rushed or just high on something was one of many possible issues/reasons we considered.

A real PB local hot spot and the owner & staff knows it. My favorite place on the island, hands down! Gold Diggers, stay away!

It is what it is and it makes no apologies for doing it well. Strong drinks and a friendly crowd.

This restaurant should no longer be refered to as a Palm Beach establishment...I think Palm Bitch would be quite more fitting. All I can say is that the Wait Staff is Crap & somehow $ went missing from the cash I gave them to pay the bill. Instead of a manager professionally settling things, she refused to do anything and I had to cough up more $ for their mistake. In addition, the food is below par & I think they hired their wait staff from a pick of kids that rode the short bus to school each day. To say they hired employees rejected from McDonald's would be too much of a compliment. Booo!!!!
